Most of you know that I keep another blog,
Silent Stanzas, where I write poetry about silent film stars. Last night, however, this popped into my head, and I thought I'd post it here.
nitrate soul
comedy
tragedy
needs to be cherished
images
memories
need to be loved...
or they
warp
and sour
and crumble
in
the
dark.

This is nice--beautifully simple. And you picked the perfect image.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. ^_^
Thank you for your thoughtful poem, and the beautifully crumbling picture. If that's Valentino, it's even easier to love those fading but timeless images...
You're quite welcome - and yes, that's Rudy all right! It's a pre-restoration frame from "Beyond the Rocks". ^_^
